From the back porch....

We have a dogtrot floorplan in our house. In other words, the front door goes straight through the hall to the back door. In the old days, this area would be an open porch for fresh air, and to keep the kitchen side safe from the living rooms.

I love our central hall. It calls me in from the back porch, and welcomes me in from the front door. And the air moves through it great when both doors are open.

Come in and visit and stay awhile.

The tree 2009

Yes, we put up the tree today, our 32nd tree since we were married, and each year they only get more beautiful.

Tomorrow it will be taking away the fall decorations, and starting on Christmas. Thank you Jesus for bringing us such joy and blessings.

Each day that He blesses our family with is a gift.

Grandparents Day at school

We got the royal treatment. We were served a full breakfast buffet, received a corsage, and got to tour the room where it all happens. We even got to hear them sing. All four grandparents were there for the toothless gal you see here, and she was happy. That is pop pop looking on.

Well, nursing time was just finished, and you can tell by the contented look on his face. Growing so fast, he is crawling and pulling up on things and is so alert!!! Of course, I may be a tad bit biased! My daughter loves her boy, as you can see.

Yes he is under there somewhere, wondering what in the world!!!!!

But he loved being outside and seeing all the other kids. Too young for candy, but what a trouper!

Trick or Treat

Our little grands all in blue (one a fairy and one a princess) came to our neighborhood last night for trick or treating. It was the best weather! It cooled off and there was a nice breeze. After soup and grilled cheese (which is another story) out we went and had lots of fun.
