Wakulla Springs Wildlife Festival - what fun!

Can you find the alligator in the river photo?  We had a great time with our two little grands.  Wakulla Springs, Florida.  Look it up on the internet.  It is a jewel.

Our little red wild friend

Yes, I am talking about our visiting little red fox, not St. Francis, who lives in our yard all the time.  Little foxy comes each day, several times, sometimes playfully chasing squirrels (wish he/she would catch the pesky things!), and sometimes for dinner.  With daylight savings time beginning this evening, I was allowed enough light to catch a photo of our foxy friend from the dining room window.  And yes, I feed the fox.  Please no sermons on that, I can't help it.  He/she may have a family!  He/she always take the first of the food and carries it away, returning later to eat the rest alone.  He/she sometimes looks me straight in the eye for many seconds from the window.  I feel like he/she is sending me thoughts, but stupid human that I am, I do not know what they are.

My Tussie Mussie from a ceiling tile

The square ceiling tile is folded in at the sides and bottom so the corners meet.  The top corner sticks up, as if the whole thing was an envelope that had not been licked shut..  That makes a little pocket to insert the vintage hankie ahd dried flowers.  How do you like it?  This tussie mussie stuff comes from MaryJanesFarm magazine's recent issue.  Lots of variations can be made from the idea.

Kids are a natural with computers

Little Hannah can spend an hour playing PBS games.  At almost four, she is spelling and counting and even reading a little.  These games help her learn easily.  I enjoy playing them with her, and they are safe.

Love that little cowgirl!

Saturday afternoon was a beautiful day, breezy, and blue of sky.  Perfect time to take our grand to a party meant for cowgirls.  Hayride, firepit with roasting marshmallows, a big old Golden retriever just waiting for someone to throw a stick, and a pinata to break!  A great time was had by all, big and little.  I had my hat on too!
