Get well gift bag from our family......

Hubby has pneumonia - and today the phone rang.  We answered quickly because we were expecting a call from the doctor.  On the line was the DD and the grands.....and they were in the van in our driveway.  They wanted to talk to their pop pop and not get exposed to his sickness.  So here is a photo of what they brought him.  In his fevered fog, he was still beaming ear to ear.....God Bless our children.  And boy, does that home made chicken soup smell yummy!  I have to get the recipe from our DD.

The ocean 2010.......and God's guidance

Here is the one and only image I made of this year's trip to Ormond Beach to our condo.  The week was planned to be so wonderful!  Daughter and grandchildren were coming; there would be evenings grilling next to the ocean, fun going out to eat and lots of time walking the wide sandy beaches and playing in the pool.  But not to be.  Hubby sick.  Left early.  Pneumonia.  Just a brief time I had to raise a wine glass to the ocean and say thank you, God....then came packing early to drive home and to take care of each other.  It is okay, and we feel so blessed to have listened to the Lord's urgings to head home.  We packed up early and did just that.  Tonight I lift prayers to Jesus praising and knowing He will heal my husband and he will get well quickly.  I have this image of the ocean, partly sunny, partly stormy, but always majestic that strengthens my faith that God is with us in everything.  Alleluia!!!!!!

Easter 2010!  Could not believe it was almost 90 degrees outside, but sunny and beautiful.

Wakulla Springs Wildlife Festival - what fun!

Can you find the alligator in the river photo?  We had a great time with our two little grands.  Wakulla Springs, Florida.  Look it up on the internet.  It is a jewel.

Our little red wild friend

Yes, I am talking about our visiting little red fox, not St. Francis, who lives in our yard all the time.  Little foxy comes each day, several times, sometimes playfully chasing squirrels (wish he/she would catch the pesky things!), and sometimes for dinner.  With daylight savings time beginning this evening, I was allowed enough light to catch a photo of our foxy friend from the dining room window.  And yes, I feed the fox.  Please no sermons on that, I can't help it.  He/she may have a family!  He/she always take the first of the food and carries it away, returning later to eat the rest alone.  He/she sometimes looks me straight in the eye for many seconds from the window.  I feel like he/she is sending me thoughts, but stupid human that I am, I do not know what they are.

My Tussie Mussie from a ceiling tile

The square ceiling tile is folded in at the sides and bottom so the corners meet.  The top corner sticks up, as if the whole thing was an envelope that had not been licked shut..  That makes a little pocket to insert the vintage hankie ahd dried flowers.  How do you like it?  This tussie mussie stuff comes from MaryJanesFarm magazine's recent issue.  Lots of variations can be made from the idea.
