For some reason, this Memorial Day has resonated within me with respect for all those men and women who make the conscious commitment to serve our country. Thank you, thank you, thank you. For taking the hits, not only with enemy fire, but often from friendly fire too, in the way of American criticism.
I pray for the widows, and the children left without a parent. I hope they feel a sense of pride for their loved ones.
I pray for those currently serving, for their safety and return home. We canot repay you enough for being on the line for the USA.
Thank you!!! God bless you.

Is everybody comfy?
Okay, kids, it is time to get dressed, I say.....NO!!!! comes the reply. I think they must get that from my side of the family. My mom loved her robe best of all. And I am partial to mine too.....

Final product for Ruth Ann's quilt.....
Ruth 1:16.....That is the scripture verse I wrote on her quilt. I gave it to her on her two month birthday. She is doing well. 12 pounds 2 ounces.....and she has grown two inches. Mommy's milk is doing it's work. I hope she likes her quilt. Because I love her so much. She has started smiling! Is it not wonderful that each of us can smile so young? God blesses us early.

I see it!
Easter egg hunting! Many, many times....but it never gets old. This year the men did the hiding of the eggs, while I cooked, and mommy took a well deserved nap.

Sweet Peas on the vine.....
We had so many this year! I planted a seed called Amish Peas, and they grew like crazy! Ths side garden, which gets a ton of sun is starting to yellow and dry out. But the back garden is still green and flowering. We had a cool night last night, and that helps a lot. Won't be long, though, till it is time to pull the vines and plant for the long hot summer.

My new sundress
A little shop called the Sandbox had the cutest little sundressess. I got two, one in green and one in turquoise. So cool and comfy and the breeze blows right through. I lived in them all week.
